code is my poetry

Hello, my name is Victor. I am physically disabled.

My goal is to go to college and learn computer programming. I have always known that I wanted to learn computer programming, especially after having so much fun last year learning the actual programming language. I learned how to make a video game with music and place 4th at the North Central Washington FBLA for Advanced video game design.  I also took 1st place at the Washington State Potato Commission video game competition and won the best graphic title for my Halloween themed game. I also enjoyed being part of a winning team while creating computer coding.

Computer programming is not only fun but is in high demand in the workforce. It provides skills that will last me a lifetime.

My lifelong dream is to earn a four-year degree in computer programming and get a job working for the government in cybersecurity. I want to stop hackers that threaten our country or our way of life!

Achieving my goals will take a lot of work, but I am going to do whatever it takes to get there! I don't mind studying on my computer and spending the time it takes to learn to code. But earning a bachelor's in computer programming would provide me a more well-rounded educational experience, not only for job preparation but for the rest of my life.

I am currently enrolled at NYU Tandon School of Engineering in the program of Introduction to Cyber-attacks. I am so thankful for Compass Career Solutions and what they are doing for me! The program has helped me come up with a plan and to find an employer that will say WELCOME TO THE TEAM! I am looking forward to what Compass Career Solutions has in store for me so I can show my future employer my skills and talents!
