A Client's hiring journey and bright future through Twigs Bistro

For many years, Joe has wanted to work in a classy restaurant.  In early July, Joe and his Employment Consultant, Lori found an opening for food prep and dishwashing at Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar in Spokane, Washington.  During the Twigs interview, Joe represented himself very well and was extremely enthusiastic. He came with a vast history of knowledge for fine dining from another area restaurant he worked at in the past. “Lori helped me get the job by making sure I arrived early to the interview and dressed for success. She told me, just to be myself.” The chef was so amazed by Joe's knowledge and professionalism, he offered him a job on the spot!  Joe, of course, accepted the position. 


On Joe’s first day, The Twigs team immediately included him and celebrated his joyous personality. The Twigs team also embraced the idea of an Employment Consultant onsite to help Joe acclimate to his job. “Joe is a great asset to our team. We can always rely on him to make sure things go smoothly in the kitchen. He is a great helper and always does it with a smile on his face. I personally love his sense of humor and how he brightens our day. I really appreciate Compass for supporting Joseph and helping him. Also, Joseph’s personal Job Coach, Lori, is a wonderful soul. She is amazing with Joe and having her around is a lot of fun! Every shift, you can catch Joe in the kitchen, singing Bon Jovi and simply loving his job. “When I’m at work, I am happy!!!” With the support of his Compass Employment Consultant and awesome co-workers, Joe now works independently in the dish pit and is working on mastering the steps of food prep. “Joe is a very positive person, and it spreads throughout the team!
