Amber is excited to work toward her employment goals with the help of her Employment Consultant, Erica. However, without formal work experience, she wanted a way to build up her experience and gain a competitive edge when applying for jobs. To help her achieve that goal, Erica connected Amber to a volunteer position with Vancouver Farmers' Market.

 

This past Saturday, Amber was responsible for ensuring safe capacity by monitoring one of the entrances, doing customer counts, and redirecting visitors. With Erica's support, Amber looks forward to finding diverse ways of gaining work experience while giving back to her community.
