Julio came to Compass Career Solutions in Kennewick needing help finding a job. In the past, he had some other positions working as a dishwasher or clothes sorter but they never lasted for very long and he was discouraged because nothing worked out for him! In spite of his initial reluctance, Eliza, his Employment Consultant patiently worked with him to find out what he liked and what kind of job he would enjoy. 

 

They were able to find Julio a job at Dollar Tree, which he loved but unfortunately during COVID his hours dwindled until his position no longer existed. Eliza and Julio didn’t get discouraged, they spent time working on new skills in customer service and cashiering. Julio also got a food handlers card. An opportunity to apply at MOD Pizza came about and he was hired as a part-time employee! Julio loves his job and is proud that he works in a place where they understand him and accept him for who he is. He is learning so much and becoming a great team member in his position.

 

Julio is so grateful for Compass Career Solutions and Eliza’s help and her encouragement which pushed him to strive to be great!
