A Valued Member of Compass Yakima staff!

We are celebrating the one-year hire anniversary of our Community Inclusion Specialist Makayla. She began working with Compass Career Solutions in 2021 and she came to Compass with an extensive background in caregiving and supporting elderly and Alzheimer's patients. With her past experiences, Makayla took to Community Inclusion services like a duck to water. 

Makayla has a case load of 11 Community Inclusion (CI) participants spanning nearly 100 miles between Yakima County to Kittitas County. She supports and transports these participants to volunteer sites and community clubs, activities, etc. During Makayla's first year with Compass, she has also made time to support her teammates and supervisor with training new hires, participating in state surveys and pitching in wherever she can.

Makayla continues to demonstrate that she genuinely cares for the people that she serves. This has been reflected through sending holiday packages on her own time; providing resources and supplies for participants to create vision boards during times when in person services were limited; and visiting participants in the hospital who were temporarily on hold from CI services. 

Makayla has been and continues to be a great benefit to the Yakima team and is a very valued member of Compass Career Solutions.
